In the face of this time crunch, It was soon revealed that ORBCOMM had suffered a ransomware attack. The revelation later being confirmed with the assistance of renowned external cybersecurity specialists.

In a bid to provide as much immediate relief as possible, the FMCSA sanctioned the use of paper logs until ORBCOMM’s Blue Tree product line is fully restored – a relief window extending until September 29th at the latest. This measure brought significant respite to ORBCOMM’s clientele, who rely heavily on these tracking systems.
